Join us in Basque Country March 30 to April 7
The DOB Party will kick off in this gritty yet pretty city, closest to the main international airport in the area (BIO airport code). Hotels and more info below, but dates here are from March 30th through April 1st.
We will drive south for about an hour to get to the heart of the Rioja wine region, and stay in the always quaint and charming city of Logroño, from April 1st through the 3rd, where we will have special winery tours, tastings, and a big BBQ in a vineyard.
From April 4th through departing on the 7th, we head to San Sebastián, with a couple of stops along the way to take in more special winery visits, a cider house tour, and culminate the week with special meals and pintxo tours in Campo Viejo (Old Town).

Short answer, yes. The Bilbao airport (BIO) has tons of options and they tend to be affordable. There are buses, trains, and taxis too (little to no Uber, sadly) and while they are possible, cars will give you the most freedom. Several people will likely have room in their cars, so if you are traveling solo, and hope to jump in with someone, let me know and we can likely find you a ride. Or I can help you find a buddy to share with.
Have Euros on hand (get them from an ATM), always choose Euros when given the option if paying by card or Apple Pay (most places take contactless payment), and no gifts -- just come hungry, please!
**ALSO HAVE ROOM IN YOUR SUITCASE FOR WINE TO BRING HOME**
(or better yet, bring an extra suitcase just for this purpose)
